This policy explains how ChinglishBook plans, prepares, checks, publishes, and corrects official content.
Planning and structured production
Content is planned in bounded editorial batches. Word, Sentence, and Rule records are prepared as structured data with required fields and explicit relationships. Codex and other AI-assisted tools may help with drafting, formatting, comparison, or mechanical checks; they are supporting tools, not independent publishers or authorities.
Automated validation
Before publication, automated checks examine required fields, duplicate tokens, canonical identities, mappings, pinyin format, usage profiles, sentence synchronization, pattern validity, relationship integrity, learning eligibility, and scheduled publication state. Content Quality reports structural errors; Content Readiness determines whether reviewed records are eligible for learning use.
Human semantic review and workflow
Editors review meaning, Chinese semantic order, token choice, contextual mappings, examples, and natural-English comparisons. The operating workflow is Draft → Reviewed → Standard → Published. A record is not treated as official merely because an automated tool produced or validated part of it.
Identity locking and course stability
After a Word or Sentence is published, its canonical identity is locked. Learning courses use published, immutable versions so enrolled learners keep the same lesson and checkpoint snapshot. Material changes require a reviewed correction and, where appropriate, a new course version.
Mapping and pinyin corrections
A suspected mapping or pinyin problem is traced to the affected source record, checked against its semantic context and related records, corrected in a controlled draft or correction workflow, and rerun through Content Quality and Content Readiness before publication.
Corrections and page updates
Errors can be reported through the public contact channel once verified contact details are published. Reports should identify the page and explain the proposed correction. Substantive changes are reviewed and recorded; a page’s updated time changes only when its content is materially changed.
Originality and publication value
ChinglishBook does not copy third-party dictionary definitions as its editorial content and does not mass-publish low-value pages solely to attract search traffic. AI-assisted output is not assumed to be error-free, and the project does not claim that every record has been reviewed by a linguistics professor or certified by a third party.
